InshaAllah —-> “ Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives. ”
Loss of Lady Liberty
The image of the Statue of Liberty in this piece is created using only the Arabic translation of the James Madison quote “If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy. The loss of liberty at home is to be charged to the provisions against danger, real or imagined, from abroad.” The text is written in the Diwani Jali script. Every word in the poem is written exactly once in the body of the statue, and once on her pedestal.

How to be a productive Muslim member of society inshaAllah
Even with imperfect words that pour from the spout of a crooked mouth, lessons can be sowed and wisdom can blossom.
So, instead of pointing fingers at other people’s crooked mouths (whether real or imagined) I will try insha Allah to use the lessons contained in every instance in this dunya to improve upon the purity of my heart & my deeds.
I don’t need to avoid “imperfect” people whom are clearly with good intentions, because who is perfect but Allah alone!
So I will, insha Allah, invest my efforts on finding the lessons that are always existing whether the mouth is crooked or straight, or whether we see them or not; the lessons that are to be learned whether they are clear and intended or in need of some straightening or mending, and double checking.
I will, insha Allah, keep myself open to the lessons learned even from my own mistakes and mistakes of others that are made with good intentions.
And always, insha Allah, with the humbling understanding that I am now, and always will be, just a servant…….. and Allahu a’alim
Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar

Abu Bakrah reported that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “The supplications of distress are,
‘Allahumma rahmataka arju, fala takilni ila nafsi tarfata ‘ain, wa aslah li sha’ni kullahu, la ilaha illa anta’
(O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, so give me not over to my self even for as little as wink of an eye, and set right all my affairs, there is no god but You)

Magnetism by Ahmed Mater
“The idea is simple, like its central element, forcefully attractive. Mater gives a twist to a magnet and sets in motion tens of thousands of particles of iron…”
WOW subhanAllah, I seriously thought this was the Kabah for a minute….how ironic, we are just like those flecks of iron, no more powerful or greater than our Creator.
Alhamdu Allah —- I’ve got Iron in my blood! :-)
Such a simple yet powerful image, mashaAllah!
