islamicthinking:

“Your best friend is the one who when seeing him reminds you of Allah, speaking to him increases you in knowledge, and his actions remind you of the Hereafter.”
-Prophet Muhammad (salla Allaahu ‘alayhi wa salaam)

Insha Allah I hope to find a friend like that and then if i do I hope to have enough awareness, faith and humility to ~BE~ a friend like that insha ALLAH!! :-)

3 signs of Humility

alilmiyah:

Shaikh Dhul-Nun al-Misri (Allah have mercy on him) said,

‘There are three signs of humility:

1. Considering one’s self (nafs) to be the lowest of all the creatures. This is in order to find out its faults.

2. For the sanctity of Oneness of Allah (tawhid) respect and serve other people.

3. Accepting the truth and beneficial advice from any one (irrespective of his piety, faith, status, etc.)’

Awarif al-Ma’arif, page 415

Shara’iah, Makkah al-mukarramah

May we all find the path to attain such blessed humility, ameen!

Al-Khabir – The All-Aware

”And He is the All-subtle, the All-aware.” 67:14
Allah’s knowledge is profound and comprehensive. He has the knowledge and the understanding of the Creator, the Maker. “Whether you speak in secret or aloud, He knows your inmost thoughts. Shall He who has created all things not know, them all? And He is the All-subtle, the All-aware.”67:13-14. “And Allah is aware of the things you do.” -3:153

~Whatever sins one may commit, one will be answerable to Allah for them even if Allah is the only witness. He has no need of other evidence. His knowledge and sight are all-sufficient. “Is he not aware that when that which is in the tombs is scattered abroad, and that which is in human breasts is brought out – surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them?” (100:9-11). “Your Lord suffices as one who is aware of and see the sins of His servants.” -17:17

~Whosoever of you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart, for that is the minimum tthat is desirable from a believer. (An-Nasai)

~Everything happens through the instrumentality of Allah.

The One who knows the internal qualities and meanings of all things. The One who has perfect knowledge and understanding of the true reality of all things.

The One who knows and understands the meaning of even the most hidden secrets. The One who know the inner truth of every condition and situation.

The One who knows and understands secret requests and unspoken prayers. The One who knows and understands the real condition, the inner reality, of everything.

Abu Bakrah reported that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “The supplications of distress are,

‘Allahumma rahmataka arju, fala takilni ila nafsi tarfata ‘ain, wa aslah li sha’ni kullahu, la ilaha illa anta’

(O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, so give me not over to my self even for as little as wink of an eye, and set right all my affairs, there is no god but You)

But, awful as this atrocity was, native-born and homegrown terrorism is not the macro-threat to the continent.

That threat comes from a burgeoning Muslim presence in a Europe that has never known mass immigration, its failure to assimilate, its growing alienation, and its sometime sympathy for Islamic militants and terrorists.

……As for a climactic conflict between a once-Christian West and an Islamic world that is growing in numbers and advancing inexorably into Europe for the third time in 14 centuries, on this one, Breivik may be right.”

-Pat Buchanan speaking on what he (ridiculously) believes is a bigger threat to Europe than the lunatic who set off a bomb and shot and killed children in Norway.  Read more: A fire bell in the night for Norway

WOW! Breivik may be right??? Again I wonder — What on earth can be so threatening in a Muslim woman covering her hair as did MARY, mother of Jesus (AS)? What can be so threatening in a people of varied countries and backgrounds coming together in a house of worship and using the language of the book to pray together side by side in submission to God? Because they dont “assimilate”?? (You sound like the BORG Mr. Buchanan lol) You want the climactic conflict more than you want true understanding and peaceful co-existence. Christians and Muslims have lived peacefully together in the past, why do so many believe it can not also be so now?? Sigh, all in all the article seems a pitiful statement from a pitiable man…….

May Allah(GOD) guide him and me and all of us, amin.

In response to Norway attacks,

right-wing bloggers

suddenly demand nuance

By Adam Serwer

American anti-Islam bloggers aren’t to blame for the Norway Massacre. But their response to the attacks is nonetheless revealing, in that they are now demanding the kind of nuanced analysis of the Norway shootings that they’ve always failed to offer when implicating jihadism or all Muslims for terror attacks………..
